Session Agenda
The adoption of the open access (OA) movement has seen a significant increase over the last few years. This is in part due to the launch of key OA mandates and the rise of different avenues for disseminating research freely. One of the main factors driving free and immediate access to cutting-edge research is preprint repositories. The University of Turku in collaboration with Enago and Karger Publishers conducted an insightful webinar to help their students and researchers understand the importance and benefits of the preprint servers. It also provided insights on how preprints can aid in bridging the gaps in academic publishing and help accelerate scholarly communication.
Researchers will have a better understanding of the following:
- History of Preprints
- Benefits of Preprints
- Preprint Policies Among Journals and Funders
- Preprints and Scholarly Communication
- Preprints and the Question of Peer Review
- Future of Preprints
Who should attend this session?
