English Editing by Subject Experts

Specialized Subject-area Matching

Every manuscript submitted to us is matched to editors with highly specialized subject-area expertise. For example, a paper in Neurology will be edited by an editor who is an MD in Neurology, not by a specialist in Medical Sciences (click here for more examples). This technical competency enables us to optimize the content as well as the language and pay due attention to even the most subtle intricacies.

What Our Clients Say

FAQs

Q. What is the difference between the Copyediting, Substantive editing and English Proofreading services?

As an author, there are three basic broad-heads of editing services available to you:

  • Copy Editing: This service is suitable for quality-conscious authors requiring a thorough language check of their manuscripts. Papers submitted to the Copy editing service are returned free from language errors such as spelling mistakes, grammar, punctuation errors, and typos. Authors also get a style and consistency-check done on their manuscripts, in addition to having them formatted.
  • Substantive Editing: Authors looking to submit their manuscripts to high-impact peer-reviewed international journals can opt for Substantive editing. This service offers intensive research editing services for the authors to achieve flawless subject-matter and language quality. Substantive editing covers all service aspects under Copy editing, including a deep focus on the logic, structure, and presentation of the manuscript.
  • English Proofreading: English Proofreading is done after editing and layout, after the page proofs have been prepared by the designer. While Copy editing errors may still be found, a proofreader is concerned with other elements. The proofreader checks all design elements for accuracy and consistency including headers, level heads, page numbering, word breaks, end-of-line breaks, page breaks, cross references, and appropriate placement of tables and artwork. English Proofreading service may also include completion of table of contents, index and numbering of cross references.
Q. What are the rates for academic Proofreading services?

Academic Proofreading services are usually priced per the number of words in the manuscript. The charges are levied based on the length of the document, which tends to assure that you are able to calculate a fixed price for the services.

Q. Can I get a certificate of Proofreading?

Always! Every time Enago edits your manuscript, you receive a certificate of editing. Enago offers only 2 editing services – Substantive editing and copy editing. Certificate of editing is a component of both these services, which takes English Proofreading into account.

Q. What are the available payment options?

We allow our clients to make payments through credit/debit cards and PayPal. You can also make a bank transfer. For further details, write to us at orders@enago.com

Q. What is Rejection Shield?

Rejection Shield is the top-tier Post-Editorial Support service of Enago. Under Rejection shield, you can get your paper edited from us even after journal’s feedback. With this shield, the value-added attributes are editing the response to reviewer, cover letter editing, and editing of any additional content added by the author.
