Sr Ambassador of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Dr. Vrushali is the Head Librarian at AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra, India. She holds a Ph.D. from Reva University, Bengaluru, with her research focused on “Open Access E-Resources Development in Asia: A Study.” An active Senior Ambassador of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Dr. Vrushali is deeply engaged in advancing open access and scholarly communication initiatives. She received the ALCTS Online Course Grant for Library Professionals from Developing Countries (2014) and won the INASP Open Access Week Competition in both 2015 and 2016. She was invited to OpenCon 2017 in Berlin and later served on the Organizing Committee for OpenCon 2018 in Toronto. Dr. Vrushali has also been a member of the Advisory Committee for Open Access Week (2018–2019) and currently serves on the Advisory Committee of OpenDOAR and the Conference Committee of FORCE2021. She also hosted the "COAR Open Access Asia" meeting in India in association with UNESCO in 2024.
