Enago Partners with Aries Systems to Utilize its Ingest Service for Seamless Manuscript SubmissionThe collaboration will significantly reduce the workflow process as authors submit their manuscripts for publication
January 22, 2017, New York: Enago, a leading provider of English language editing services for the global research community, has announced its partnership with Aries Systems to utilize Aries’ ingest service for Editorial Manager (EM) to achieve seamless manuscript submissions. As part of the collaboration, clients will be able to transfer their manuscripts from Enago’s platform directly to participating journal EM submission sites, making the manuscript submission process more efficient.
With the use of the EM ingest system, authors can submit their manuscript files, along with associated metadata, to journals that use the service for online submission and peer review. In addition, journals can quickly send the manuscripts back to authors to retrieve missing information, as well as to confirm submission data, before moving forward with the peer review process. Using ORCID identifiers, the service ensures that submissions are correctly mapped to previous author registration records.
Simplifying the manuscript submission workflow for both journals and authors, the ingest service brings together thousands of scholarly journals using EM and more than 2 million authors worldwide who entrust Enago with their manuscripts. By integrating the ingest technology, Enago is furthering its commitment to having a robust journal submission service.
On the collaboration, Robert Kasher, VP - Strategic Alliances, Enago, said, “Manuscript submission can be a tricky step for most authors – for some, it may seem complicated and for others, time-consuming. Editorial Manager’s (EM) Ingest functionality takes care of these issues in a seamless manner by not only providing authors a streamlined workflow but also ensuring publishers get cleaner metadata at submission. We are glad to partner with EM by integrating Ingest in our submission services, in an effort to make the submission process much easier and faster for our authors.”
