September 5, 2018, New York: Enago, a global leader in scholarly editing and publication support services, has now become a signatory to the AARP Employer Pledge. By joining this program, Enago is proud to attest to the value it places on the experience and expertise that older generations bring to skilled work.
AARP is a US-based nonprofit whose mission is to "empower people to choose how they live as they age." It has more than 38 million members and 500+ signatories to its pledge as of 2018.
By signing the AARP Employer Pledge, an organization affirms that it “believes in equal opportunity for all workers, regardless of age, and that 50+ workers should have a level playing field in their ability to compete for and obtain jobs.”Furthermore, recognizing the value of experienced workers, it pledges “to recruit across diverse age groups and to consider all applicants on an equal basis” as it hires within the organization.
