It was founded in 1920 as La Société du Journal de Physique et Le Radium. Its founding members included the Société Française de Physique and several renowned scientists, like Louis de Broglie, Marie Curie and Jean Perrin. EDP Sciences has close to a 100 years’ worth of experience in publishing scientific journals, conferences proceedings, books and magazines. Every year its catalogue expands to include 80 new books or references.
