Crimson-Ulatus exhibits at the 2015 Association for Language Companies’ Annual Conference from May 6–9 in Nashville, Tennessee
The Association of Language Companies (ALC) hosted its 2015 annual conference in the Music City— Nashville! ALC is a national trade association representing businesses that provide translation, interpretation, localization, and language training services. Founded by a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, the association aims to deliver timely information and tools to members to ensure that every company delivers the highest quality translation and interpretation, generates more sales and increases profits.
The ALC conference provides the unique opportunity and platform to network and share knowledge with successful business owners. Owners and senior executives of translation companies share experiences and best practises, discuss common challenges, and brainstorm solutions. The event was unlike any other with its blend of invaluable educational sessions, networking, knowledge reinforcement, and fun!
This year the program started with a fantastic keynote session by Jason Young, Lead Smart Inc., who spoke about creating and sustaining a high performance workplace, an environment he has coined as Culturetopia! The sessions organized at the conference targeted different aspects of translation business including sales, organizational communication, growing and sustaining business, data security, ethics, and more. Industry leaders shared their opinion on corporate culture, state of the translation industry, labor standards and employee classification, and results of the ALC industry survey. The signature event, ALC Town Hall, involved members in groups discussing challenges and solutions on a topic followed by each group sharing the highlights of their topic with rest of the groups.
For Crimson, the conference was a wonderful event to exhibit at and meet like-minded professionals from the industry. Dynamic and interactive sessions greatly helped us in discussing business challenges and finding answers that affect daily functions. Overall, it was a very fulfilling experience with many take away points.
