Nunzio has passionately championed the mission of QS, which has remained unchanged since 1990, “to empower motivated people anywhere in the world to fulfill their potential through educational achievement, international mobility, and career development.”
Best known for producing the world’s most popular rankings – QS World University Rankings, designed and launched by Nunzio in 2004 – QS aims to be a lifelong insight partner connecting a billion future learners with institutions and employers worldwide.
QS is a world leader in international postgraduate student recruitment, running online platforms attracting over 70 million web visitors, digital events in 57 countries, and offering student enrolment solutions. QS Intelligence Unit offers trusted higher education data intelligence and technology solutions supporting strategy, partnerships, mobility, and admissions.
QS consists of a team of over 500 people from 35 different countries, with offices in Austin, Portland, London, Paris, Stuttgart, Bucharest, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Melbourne.
Nunzio has an MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he won the Glockner Prize for Management. Before founding QS, Nunzio worked in strategy consulting.
Since 2003, QS has funded over 130 partial education scholarships through QS Education Trust. In 2020, QS has taken over leadership of QS World Merit Charity, a UN partner, with a view to increasing the number of awards and scholarships available for students who impact any of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Over 1% of QS surplus every year goes towards these scholarships.
