Enago attended LBF 2016, one of UK's most popular events for international publishers and academic societies
London, UK:Enago recently attended the renowned London Book Fair at the Olympia Conference Center in West Kensington, London. The fair, now in its 45th year, showcased a fantastic line-up of industry experts and provided researchers and aspiring writers a unique opportunity to gain direct access to emerging markets, network with peers, and showcase their own work. With over 1,500 exhibitors and 25,000 attendees, the London Book Fair (LBF) celebrates the excellence of the international publishing industry, including academic publishing. This yearEnago was represented by Rajiv Shirke, Vice President, Global Operations and Tony O’Rourke who managesEnago’s Europe operations.
Over the years, academic publishing has become an integral part of LBF, attracting an increasing number of scholarly delegates every year. The fair’s increasingly popular Research & Scholarly Publishing Forum featured speakers from the scholarly publishing community who discussed the challenges and trends facing scientific communication.
“This year’s event was indeed a successful one,” said Tony. “The fair hosts a huge number of publishing professionals—publishers, authors, writers, editors, indeed any professional involved in the publishing industry—from more than 100 countries, giving us an unprecedented opportunity to learn, network, and share industry news and insights.” LBF’s trade show covers two floors, and its floor plan is arranged by industry sectors to help attendees find exactly who they are looking for.
“The Research & Scholarly Publishing Forum,” Tony continued, “provided an unparalleled opportunity to join our colleagues in the scholarly community and discuss the latest policies, publishing models, and technologies. We look forward to next year’s fair in March 2017 to gain further inspiration and help our business stay ahead of the curve.”
