Author Workshop about Scholarly Publishing at KSBMB International Conference 2017Enago’s session helps Korean researchers overcome the challenges of getting published in international peer-reviewed journals
Busan, Korea: As part of our continued commitment to help authors overcome the challenge to get published in international journals,Enago conducted a workshop at the 2017 International Conference of the Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (KSBMB).
As the largest academic society in Korea, KSBMB conducts several conferences to promote scientific communication and share updates with researchers on the latest progression in the field of science. Enago’s workshop was aimed at providing significant insights into the publication process and share important steps that researchers are responsible for when they are considering to publish their research papers.
The session was focused towards early-stage researchers and graduate students and covered topics such as selecting the right journal and overcome rejections, introduction to the IMRAD format, and an overview of the manuscript submission process.
Dr. Christian Wallraven, a Publication and Training Consultant with Enago Academy followed by an hour-long question and answer session in which he further explained the major differences between regional journals and SCI-indexed journals to the participants.

The Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (KSBMB) is Korea’s leading society in the field of biochemistry. The society was established in 1948 as the “Korea Biochemistry Society” and renamed as the “Korean Society for Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” in 1995 to keep in step with the change and progress in the field. In 2010, the society combined with the “Korea Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society” (established in 1967) to form the “Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology”. Currently, KSBMB is the largest society with approximately 8,000 members in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology in Korea.
