During the sessions, we will educate authors on the importance of publishing in a good journal and the <strong>recent trends in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enago.com\/publication-support-services\/peer-review-process\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"115\" title=\"Peer Review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">peer review<\/a> process<\/strong>. We will also provide information on how the selection of the right journal and <strong>dealing with reviewers comments<\/strong> appropriately can increase the odds of manuscript acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>Through these workshops, researchers will learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding the scope, visibility, and discoverability of a journal<\/li>\n<li>Assessing the quality of a journal and a basic understanding of key journal metrics<\/li>\n<li>Expert tips and a list of tools for selecting an appropriate target journal<\/li>\n<li>The value of peer review in academic publishing<\/li>\n<li>Advantages and disadvantages of the different peer review models<\/li>\n<li>Insights into peer review decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the end of the workshops, all participants will receive a <strong>Certificate of Participation<\/strong> issued by Enago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"about-the-speaker-section\">\n<h3>About the Speaker<\/h3>\n<div class=\"about-the-speaker-section-left\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.enago.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Richard.jpg\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Dr. Richard de Grijs, Ph.D.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"about-the-speaker-section-right\">\n<ul>\n<li>An internationally acclaimed astrophysicist, editor,\u00a0 publishing consultant, and a public speaker, Dr. de Grijs has a diverse academic profile and has driven several projects at well-renowned institutions such as the University of Virginia (USA), University of Sheffield (UK), University of Cambridge (UK), and Peking University (China).<\/li>\n<li>He is currently appointed at Macquarie University (Australia) as an Associate Dean\/Professor along with his affiliation to the International Astronomical Union (Vice-President of Division C), Institute of Physics (FInstP), Astronomical Society of Australia (Fellow), etc.<\/li>\n<li>Till date, he has 300+ publications in established Physics and Astronomy journals and six published books to his name. The impact of his work is demonstrated by 5000+ citations that he has to his credit.<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Grijs is also the recipient of more than 25 research grants.
