It not only provides credibility to the author\u2019s work but also helps funders evaluate the impact of the research study. Citation indexes are maintained for information retrieval of both cited and citing work, facilitating the literature search process. It also helps authors in identifying the number of citations that their papers have received. Citation data is considered as a legitimate measure to rank authors, journals, and publishers. Through this webinar, we aim at providing information about citation indexing and how authors and publishers can get indexed in established citation databases.<br \/>\nAfter this session, attendees will learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why and what authors need to cite?<\/li>\n<li>Citation indexing and its significance<\/li>\n<li>Selection criteria of international citation databases like WoS, Scopus, and Crossref<\/li>\n<li>How can journals and publishers index in citation databases?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About the Speaker<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Dr. Richard de Grijs, Ph.D.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An internationally acclaimed astrophysicist, editor,\u00a0 publishing consultant, and a public speaker, Dr. de Grijs has a diverse academic profile and has driven several projects at well-renowned institutions such as the University of Virginia (USA), University of Sheffield (UK), University of Cambridge (UK), and Peking University (China).<\/li>\n<li>He is currently appointed at Macquarie University (Australia) as an Associate Dean\/Professor along with his affiliation to the International Astronomical Union (Vice-President of Division C), Institute of Physics (FInstP), Astronomical Society of Australia (Fellow), etc.<\/li>\n<li>Till date, he has 300+ publications in established Physics and Astronomy journals and six published books to his name. The impact of his work is demonstrated by 5000+ citations that he has to his credit.<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Grijs is also the recipient of more than 25 research grants.
