Rephrase and Rewrite Paragraphs with the Help of AI

Rephrasing or rewriting content isn’t an intricate process. But, how does AI make it better?

You can either make sure your content is plagiarism-free, or you can learn the consequences of plagiarism. On the other hand, you can improve your content, or let it be the way it is, then watch it not yield your desired results.

In today’s academic and research content, writers face these problems and dilemmas all the time. It isn’t only because of the growing competition in each aspect, but also the necessity of quality, requirements to avoid plagiarism, and ensuring content’s integrity.

Then comes AI, helping many writers save the day. But, how exactly does it do that? How does an NLP-based AI tool help you write content better than a professional? Let’s get right down to it and explore the multiple ways it can help you:

How Does AI Rephrase Content?

Using AI-based tools to paraphrase content is becoming a common practice in the writing community. It saves a lot of time and improves the content without having to struggle with manual rewrites.

But how exactly does AI pull it off? What are the key aspects you need to know about AI’s content rephrasing process? Here are four major aspects to help you understand:

NLP-based Tactics

NLP or Natural Language Processing is the core of any AI-based tool. In order to understand human languages, machines need these algorithms to study, analyze and then proceed with their operations—in this case, rewriting or rephrasing.

Removes Content Idleness

The most common trait of a good AI-based rephrase is that it would remove content redundancy.

Makes Content Smoother

By getting rid of unwanted fluff or unnecessary words in content, AI can help your content flow smoother and better.

Quick Output

To put it simply, AI rephrases your content quickly. Time is of the essence in any writing community, and deadlines are ever-growing congested. That’s when these rephrasers are especially necessary, as they can help you avoid the time-related hassle by simply clicking a button.

3 Essentials Of Rewriting Or Rephrasing With The Help Of AI

The first thing to understand is the rephrasing process with the help of AI. The key difference between rephrasing and rewriting is that you will change content slightly in paraphrasing. On the other hand, rewriting requires you to change the content significantly.

So, how does an AI-based tool help us achieve that? Can it help us improve our content by paraphrasing? Or, can we deliver ideas in a better manner than our original writing? Let’s dive in and find out:

1. Improving Existing Content

Improving existing content is one of the key offerings of any AI-based tool today. In order to write good research papers and academic articles, it is imperative to improve the content you have at hand. That’s when an AI rephrase can help you.

So, let’s take a content piece, for example:

“In order to improve L.A’s traffic it’s imperative to create better laws. As our statistics and research has proved that we need more flyovers and underpasses to improve the flow of traffic and ensure seamless transitions for the local residents”

This isn’t precisely bad by any stretch. However, it does lack a few essentials, which render it useless in research papers or academic writing of other sorts. So, let’s use an AI paraphrasing tool to improve it:

Here is how AI has improved our content. It added punctuations, improved the flow, and made content 10x better than what we wrote initially. IN other words, it’s now ideal for usage in any research paper.

2. Delivering Ideas In A Better Manner

Improving content flow depends a lot on how AI improves its transitions, punctuations, and uses better words. That’s why, if your academic idea is top-notch, but the content’s delivery is lackluster, then that’s a waste of a good topic.

Here’s an example:

“Our research helped us understand the troubles of the people, and the only way we know how to fix it is by improving the roads in the local vicinity. that’s why, it’s imperative that we ask the provincial government for adequate funding to the appropriate department so they can fix these pavements”

This is a problematic passage. It doesn’t have proper punctuation, and the transition between sentences is non-existent. The idea is good, but the execution is far from ideal. Can AI fix this? Let’s try with “Near Human” option of the paraphrasing tool:

In this case, the content has vastly improved from its initial form. The tool added necessary words and removed unnecessary ones.

Most importantly, this tool improved the content by adding necessary punctuations and breaking the sentences; which ends up delivering ideas in a better manner.

3. Avoiding Plagiarism – Making it Original

Plagiarism is yet another problem that might get in the way of writers in today’s world. That’s why academic writers and research writers must ensure their content is free of plagiarism. So, the process should look like this:

  • Using a plagiarism tool
  • Detecting plagiarism
  • Studying the plagiarism’s source
  • Using paraphrasing tools to avoid plagiarism

We went ahead and used this process to detect plagiarism in our content, and it turns out the content had a small percentage of plagiarism in it. So, for obvious reasons, we can’t paste the text here.

However, here’s how the AI tool dealt with its “plagiarism remover” mode:

This time, the tool didn’t have to fix a lot, as there weren’t any problems, except the small percentage of plagiarism. Conveniently enough, it only targeted the part where plagiarism existed in this particular section.

Not only did it remove it entirely, but it also got rid of other problems within the original content. This includes adding punctuations, using a better synonym or two, and adding/removing phrases. All this proves that it’s vital for writers to use tools like this to avoid plagiarism.

AI is becoming a necessity for writers today, and these two tools prove it. Therefore, if your idea is to fix your content and make it better for academic or research writing purposes, then using an AI-based tool can help you go a long way.
